Head of Finance*

Evernest is a Proptech Startup from Hamburg. Our mission is to create Europe’s best platform for real estate agents and completely redefine how homes are bought and sold in metropolitan areas.

We combine startup culture with years of extensive industry experience, creating a web platform as well as an app that seamlessly integrates and innovates upon every step of a real estate agent’s user journey. Through this, we shake up a traditional domain by tackling old problems with novel solutions.

Your tasks:

• Together with the finance team and the management, you prepare relevant documents (e.g. board meetings, business plans, financial due diligence) for communication with investors

• In cooperation with our operating units, you keep an eye on budgets and revenues and provide relevant KPIs for optimal management of the operating business units

• You ensure the processing of the operational business independently, you are responsible for the liquidity management and the payment control

• You are the first contact person for our tax advisor, you prepare the accounting with your team

• You accompany tax questions, especially when expanding into international markets

• You optimize our internal controlling and reporting processes and implement new tools as needed

• You report directly to the management and lead a growing team of currently four employees

Your profile:

• You have relevant experience with similar companies in a start-up or scale-up phase as well as with the associated specific requirements regarding the capital markets (funding rounds, budget control, M&A processes)

• You have successfully completed your degree in e.g. business administration, economics, business mathematics with a focus on finance/controlling or a comparable qualification

• You have several years of professional experience in finance and you have gained initial experience in leadership

• You are highly skilled in analyzing key figures and you have a strong entrepreneurial mindset

• You are characterized by your precise and conscientious way of working

• You are fluent in German and English, written and spoken
