Lead-UX/UI Designer* - Hamburg/Berlin

Evernest is a Prop-Tech Start-Up from Hamburg. Our mission is to create Europe’s best platform for real estate agents and completely redefine how homes are bought and sold in metropolitan areas.

We combine startup culture with years of extensive industry experience, creating a web platform as well as a mobile app that seamlessly integrates and innovates upon every step of a real estate agent’s user journey. Through this, we shake up a traditional domain by tackling old problems with novel solutions.

As the Lead UX/UI Designer* you are at the heart of upholding, facilitating and improving this culture.

Your Responsibilities 

• You become an expert in our users’ needs and employ that knowledge to disrupt the real estate industry

• You unify our design system across the publicly facing website and our internal tools (mobile app and web app)

• You engage in hiring activities, helping in the foundation of a strong UX/UI team

• You are the mentor and coach to all new UI/UX designers

• You invision, create and design novel solutions, user flows and user interfaces for our B2B and B2C product portfolio, reinventing the job of a real estate agent

• Collaboration across team boundaries is key, as you discover and co-create the best possible solutions for our agents’ and customers’ problems

• You share the ownership of discovering and delivering solutions that are valuable, usable, viable and feasible together with engineering and product people

• You use and encourage direct access to your users and employ whatever method and technique helps you in generating insights fast and continuously

• You seed a design chapter, to create an environment in which our design people can exchange ideas and support each other across teams, while the company and our products are scaling rapidly

• You foster an agile mindset, looking for ways to launch early and adapting plans as you learn about and measure the immediate impact of your solutions

• Knowing the mission and what problem to solve, you routinely make and facilitate quick decisions on the team level

Your Qualifications 

• You hold a university degree or a comparable qualification 

• You have at least five years of work experience in UX design for digital products 

• Once you know the problem the team is supposed to solve, you are able to self-organize your design process and gather the insights you need

• You are a “full stack” designer who is experienced in UX research and design as well as UI design.

• You have a track record of working with and creating design patterns across different platforms: responsive web, mobile-first and native apps for Android and iOS

• You are comfortable with the usual design tools like Figma or Sketch

• You routinely employ qualitative and quantitative user research methods

• You are experienced with a wide toolkit of modern product design techniques and frameworks that you employ in your work

• You can communicate efficiently and clearly in German and English
